‍ ‍Chris Holzer has called Summit County home since 1999. After spending 16 years with O’Bryan Partnership Architects, he founded Powder River Home Services to bring his deep knowledge of the building process directly to local homeowners. With over 35 years of hands-on experience in construction and handyman work, Chris understands every phase of a project—from architectural drawings to the finishing touches.

Throughout his career, he has completed everything from kitchen and bathroom renovations to full restaurant build-outs, custom carpentry, and year-round home maintenance. His background gives him a unique ability to spot issues early, navigate complex projects, and deliver high-quality work that stands up to mountain living.

A long-time local, Chris and Stacey love raising their daughter in Summit County and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that brought them here. His commitment to the community—and to helping neighbors keep their homes in top shape—is what drives Powder River Home Services today.


Matt Sloan has been working in property management and home renovations in Summit County since 2020. After moving to the area and quickly developing a passion for mountain living, he began working alongside Chris, helping homeowners maintain and improve their properties through reliable maintenance, renovation coordination, and hands-on project management. Matthew brings five years of experience in property care and takes pride in helping ensure homes are well maintained and running smoothly year-round. When he’s not working, you’ll usually find him out in the mountains on a bike, skis, or a snowmobile enjoying everything Summit County has to offer.
